PURPOSE:To obtain a large-sized glass roofing tile having excellent strength, safety, etc., and suitable for the lightening tile, etc., at a low cost, by heating and bending a glass plate, and hot-pressing or sintering and solidifying the plurality of obtained bent glass plates interposing an adhesive sheet therebetween. CONSTITUTION:Two diagonal corners of a pair of glass plates are cut (1a), and the plates are bent in a furnace using separate bending forms. The upper bent glass plate 2 and the lower bent glass plate 3 are placed interposing an adhesive sheet 4a (e.g. polyvinyl butyl resin sheet for laminated glass, or a nonwoven sheet impregnated with water glass) therebetween, and the whole assembly is hot-pressed or baked and solidified to obtain the objective glass roofing tile 5. A large-sized tile can be manufactured in high productivity by a simple apparatus. Even if the tile 5 is broken, the piece of the broken glass is held in the state attached to the adhesive sheet 4a to prevent the scattering of pieces.
