PURPOSE:To reduce the diameter of a shifting member and reduce the dimension of the apparatus by fixing a pin for connecting the spool of the control valve of a power steering apparatus and the shifting member onto the spool. CONSTITUTION:When the turning moment of a steering wheel 40 is transmitted to an input shaft 2, a torsion bar 6 set between the input shaft 2 and an output shaft 3 is twisted, and the relative revolution difference corresponding to the steering load is generated. Then, a ball 54 revolves with the input shaft 2 in the peripheral direction, but the ball 54 shifts in the axial direction, revolving in the peripheral direction, since the ball 54 is regulated by a spiral groove 53. Therefore, a spool 13 is shifted through a shifting member 50 and a pin 59, and a control valve 11 is operated, and the pressure control of the oil supplied into a power cylinder 19 and the switching of oil passages are performed. By the fixing of the pin 59 onto the spool 13, the diameter of the shifting member 50 can be reduced, and the dimension of the apparatus can be reduced. |
