PURPOSE:To make the thickness distribution of a layer uniform in the circumferential direction every batch when starting materials are charged into a bell-less blast furnace with a turning shoot, by controlling a change in the amount of starting materials charged into the furnace in a moment with the lapse of time. CONSTITUTION:Starting materials are charged into a bell-less blast furnace with a turning shoot. At this time, the degree theta( deg.) of opening of a flow rate regulating valve is changed with a periodic function having a phase shift DELTAtau(sec) and the amplitude B(=theta-theta*) of the difference between the degree theta( deg.) of opening of the flow rate regulating valve during the turning of the turning shoot and a standard degree theta*( deg.) of opening. The periodic function changes with the same period as the turning shoot turns. At the same time, the phase shift DELTAtau(sec) and the amplitude B( deg.) in the periodic function are controlled. |
