PURPOSE:To facilitate the assay of hydrogen peroxide without being affected by reducing substance by using a specified pyrazolon derivative as hydrogen acceptor and hydrogen donor. CONSTITUTION:A reagent containing a pyrazolon derivative shown in the formula is used. The derivative herein used is 1-(4'-sulfophenyl)-3-carboethyoxy-5- pyrazolon (SCEP), 1-(4'-sulfophenyl)3-methyl-5-pyrazolon (SEP) or 1-(4'-sulfophenyl)-3-carboxy-5-pyrazolon (SCOP) and moreover, preferably a corresponding compound having halophile group at the 1-position. The hydrogen acceptor is preferably 4-aminoantipyrin or 3-methyl-3-benzothiazoline hydrazone (MBTH) and a sulfonide thereof. Specially preferable combination is 4-aminoantipyrin and SCEP and MBTH or the sulfonide thereof and SMP or SCOP. This method enables quantitative measurement of colored pigment. |
