PURPOSE:To improve the coupling property between a diverging element and an optical fiber by interposing a coupler which has waveguides between plural optical fibers which are arranged in parallel to one another and the diverging element. CONSTITUTION:Respective waveguides 10a-10e of the coupler are so formed that one-side terminals are in tangential directions of centers of respective wavelengths of respective pieces of luminous flux which are dispersed and converged and other-side terminals are in tangential directions of center axes of respective optical fibers 4a-4e. The waveguides 10a-10e are formed in gentle curve shapes satisfying the condition of total reflection to overall waveguide length. Light with plural wavelengths which is projected from the optical fiber 4a is passed through the waveguide 10a to illuminate the diffraction grating 8 of a spectral diffraction part 6 and dispersed light enter the waveguides 10b-10e corresponding to the respective wavelengths. Therefore, light beams projected from the respective waveguides 10b-10e of the coupler 12 enter the optical fibers 4b-4e directly without any loss. |
