PURPOSE:The titled metal salt which is used as antifungal and dandruff-removing agent is pluverized using a specific dispersant under specific conditions to improve the dipersion stability of the metal salt in the antifungal composition such as shampoo or rinse and the adsorption to skins and hairs. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion of a polyvalent metal salt of 2-mercapto-N-oxide is stirred together with solid media of less than 0.2mm. particles sizes in the presence of (meth)acrylic acid-styrenesulfonic acid copolymer of 10,000-1,000,000 average molecular weight as a dispersant to give fine particles of the above-mentioned metal salt containing more than 50wt% of particles of less than 0.1mu particle sizes, preferably containing less than 15wt% of particles of 0.2-0.5mu sizes and less than 5wt% of particles exceeding 0.5mu, thus being less than 0.5mu on the average. The resultant particles can be added to the above-cited antifungal composition with no use of a special polymer with high stability, further, the improvement in adsorption increases its activity of fungi control and dandruff removal. |
