PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of broken yarns in restarting, by passing a yarn through a small diameter part of a stepped nip roller and a satin finish part of a feed roller in a drawtwister, restarting the operation therof, transferring the yarn to a large diameter part of the nip roller after a given time, and increasing rotational speed of the draw roller system to a given value. CONSTITUTION:A yarn (Y) is passed through a small diameter part of a nip roller 4 and a satin finish part (N) of a feed roller 5 in a drawtwister to restart the operation. A ring rail 12 is minutely traversed at the position of a waste spool 13, and the draw roller system is rotated at a low speed. A guide transfer device 3 is operated in the direction (B) after a given time to transfer the yarn (Y) from the small diameter part to the large diameter part of the nip roller 4 and press the yarn (Y). Thus, the nip roller 4 is started to give a preliminary tension to the yarn (Y), and a simultaneous start switch is turned on to increase the rotational speed of the draw roller system to a given value. A ring is lifted to start winding of the yarn (Y) onto a bobbin. |
