PURPOSE:To facilitate traces of transferred images left in a used ink doner film to be easily erased simultaneously with printing, by providing a heating element for melting a residual ink and a platen on the downstream side in a film-feeding direction of a heating element for recording. CONSTITUTION:Heating elements 7 are provided in a transverse linear row on a thermal head 1 on the downstream side in the film-feeding direction of the heating elements 2 for recording. The ink doner film 5 used for transferring images 6 to be recorded is passed between the heating element 7 and a platen 8, whereby the residual ink on the film 5 is melted by the elements 7, and is spread by pressing between the elements 7 and the platen 8, thereby erasing the traces of transferred images. Accordingly, the traces of transferred images left on the used ink doner film can be erased simultaneously with printing, and it is possible to eliminate the need for after-treatments such as shredding or incinerating the film for maintaining confidential informations. |
