PIPETTING METHOD FOR REAGENT OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To prevent rationally adverse influence on a measured value by providing intermittently a stroke for sucking separating air, stroke for sucking slightly more reagent, stroke for discharging a set. amt. of reagent and stroke for discharging the remaining reagent and foam and cycling these strokes. CONSTITUTION:The external air which generates foam for sepn. is sucked into a nozzle 18 before the point (a) comes to the vertex of a cam 12 to prevent reagent dilution. The reagent 26 is sucked slightly more than the set amt. between the points (a) and (b) when a pitson 13 is lowered by the rotation of the cam 12 in an arrow direction. The set amt. of the reagent is discharged into a cuvette 27 after passage of the vertex through the point (b). The liquid ball at the top end is sucked to the nozzle 18 when a rolling wheel 21 enters the point (c) and said ball is moved to right above a throwing bottle 28. The remaining reagent and foam in the nozzle 18 are thrown when a projecting part 12b contacts the wheel 21 and the succeeding cycle is started upon arrival of the point (a) at the vertex of the cam 12. The measurement with stable accuracy is thus made possible.
