PURPOSE:To obtain a head having high reliability without cracking in specifically composed Mn-Zn ferrite magnetic cores and glass by using said cores as well as non-magnetic reinforcing parts and glass bonding agent having respectively the difference in the average coefft. of linear expansion from ferrite within specific ranges. CONSTITUTION:The write-read core 1 formed by butting L- and I-shaped thin sheet-like magnetic core halves 1a, 1b each having the compsn. consisting of 50- 65mol% Fe2O3, 5-35mol% ZnO and the balance MnO and additives to each other via a gap G1 and two sets of the erasing cores 2, 2 formed by butting core halves 2a, 2b having the similar thickness to each other via a gap G2 are joined by using reinforcing plates 3, 4 and reinforcing members 5, 6 each consisting of a non-magnetic material such as CaTiO3 and having + or -15X10<-7>deg<-1> difference in average coefft. of linear expansion from ferrite in a 20-350 deg.C region and glass having -15-+10X10<-7>deg<-1> difference in average coefft. of linear expansion from the ferrite and reinforcing materials in the same temp. region as a bonding agent, thereby forming the magnetic head. The head which obviates cracking in the cores 1, 2 and glass is thus obtd. |
