Device for fastening the ends of a leaf spring made of composite material, in particular for a heavy vehicle. The ends of the leaf 2 are fitted with a cap 1 comprising a transverse cylindrical recess 5 fitted with a bearing 6, the said cap 1 being extended above and below the leaf 2 respectively by an upper branch 7 and by a lower branch 8 of smaller thickness than that of the preceding one, the vertical part of the said cap 1 located between the branches 7 and 8 constituting a rest 9 which receives in abutment the vertical face 3 of the end of the leaf 2.
