The invention relates to roller skates with front train and rear train which can be oriented via a pivot system consisting, on the one hand, of a pivot securely attached to the sole, which, for the front train, is tilted forwards and, for the rear train, is tilted rearwards, and, on the other hand, of slightly tilted dishes for receiving elastic elements interposed between sole and front and rear train, characterised in that each train consists of a single wheel 2-17 connected to the pivot via a lug cap (plate) 1-16 arranged substantially horizontally, and in that the flexible link is effected by means of a compression spring made from calibrated steel. In the lugs of the rear cap (plate) are accommodated braking elements which can be controlled by means of a castor 14 connected to a stirrup piece 11 via a force limiting device 12. Each of the wings of the stirrup piece 11 receives at the top and at the bottom a small braking plate 8. During the braking action, the small plates 8 come into contact with discs 7 of omega shape located on both sides of the rear wheel 2. The lugs of the front cap (plate) 1 support a single wheel 17 made from two identical parts. <IMAGE>
