PURPOSE:To increase a response speed and to supply stabler DC electric power by using a semiconductor switch as a switch for short-circuiting or resetting one or plural series-connected semiconductor rectifying elements. CONSTITUTION:If a load 14 varies abruptly into a heavy load and the terminal voltage Eb across a storage battery 5 drops until a load voltage E attains to its lower limit El, a voltage detecting device 13 detects that and supplies an on- command signal to the driving device of a transistor (Tr) 15. Consequently, the Tr15 is turned on to short-circuit diode series bodies 6-10, so the load E applied to the load rises up to Eb, thus compensating said drop. When the Tr17 is on, on the other hand, a floating discharge mode is switched to a uniform charging mode and the voltage Eb rises abruptly to its upper limit value Eu, and then the device 13 detects that and turns off the Tr15. Consequently, the voltage E applied to the load drops from Eb, so its rise is suppressed. |
