The invention relates to a battery-powered pocket lamp of conventional design having an electric switch. In order for the switch no longer to have to be found, it is constructed in the form of an electromagnetic switch that is mounted in the interior of the housing. This switch consists of a hollow cylinder made from electrically non-conductive material, and its two ends are sealed by means of flat, disc-shaped permanent magnets. Arranged in a longitudinally displaceable fashion in the hollow cylinder is a cylindrical soft-iron core having a play between the permanent magnets. Spring contact pieces are fastened on the inside to the end of the hollow cylinder that points in the direction of illumination and run near the wall at a spacing from one another. If the permanent magnet is moved in the frontal direction by a blow on the housing of the pocket lamp and if the permanent magnet adheres to the soft-iron core located there, the spring contact pieces are simultaneously brought into contact with one another and the pocket lamp is switched on. For switching-off purposes, the soft-iron core is released by a blow on the opposite side. It then adheres to the other permanent magnet. The circuit to the incandescent lamp is then broken. |
