In this case, recycled condensate is led through a heat exchanger (6) and then into a collecting vessel (11). Feed water is likewise guided through the heat exchanger (6) and subsequently fed into a steam boiler (1). The pressure of the condensate emerging from the heat exchanger (6) is regulated at a value above atmospheric pressure. Feed water temperatures in excess of 100 DEG C can be achieved in this way, and condensate re-evaporation losses can be further reduced. <IMAGE>
