PURPOSE:To enhance light fastness of a yellow and also dispersion stability of a coupler by forming a silver halide emulsion layer contg. a specified yellow dye image-forming coupler, a high-boiling org. solvent, and a specified fading inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:A color image superior in light fastness and resistance can be obtained by forming an emulsion layer contg. the 3 components: a yellow dye image-forming coupler of formula I (R1 is alkyl or aryl; R2 is aryl; and X is H or a group releasable by the reaction with the oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent, a high-boiling org. solvent represented by formula II (R3 and R4 are each 9-18C alkyl or cycloalkyl), and at least one kind of fading inhibitor represented by formula III or IV in which each of R5 and R6 is alkyl; A is alkyl or aryl; R7 is H, OH, alkyl, -SOR, etc; and each of R8-R10, and R'8 and R'9 are each alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, amino, or the like. |
