PURPOSE:To reduce the leakage loss of fluid and improve the total adiabatic efficiency of the pump by putting the contact between the rotor top edge part of the pump having multiblade rotors and the inner wall surface of a rotor casing into surface contact. CONSTITUTION:The captioned pump having multiblade rotors generates pumping action by engaging two leaves of rotors having projection parts and revolving the rotors in the opposite directions. The top edge of the projection part of the rotor is formed into a circular curved form having an equal curvature to that of the inner-wall surface of a casing 1, and the side part 4, 5 of the projection part has a contour in straight-line form in the radial direction so as to generate face contact when the edge parts 4 and 5 are engaged. The tooth bottom part 2 of the rotor has a circular contour having a rotor shaft as center so that the circular curved surface at the top edge of the projection part of the rotor is put into rolling contact, Therefore, the contact part of each rotor enables the surface contact having a broad contact-surface width, and the leakage loss of fluid is reduced, and the total adiabatic efficiency of the pump can be improved.
