PURPOSE:To obtain a nearly constant discharge amount by setting the balance between each dimension of an axial-flow fan and a motor to the balance which forms an overload for the motor, in an axial-flow blower. CONSTITUTION:For a driving motor 14, a conventional fan 22 which forms an overload for the motor 14 is not used, by a large fan which is usually used for a 4-pole driving motor having the equal output to that of a 2-pole driving motor 14 is used, and the dimension of the fan is set to form an overload for the motor. Therefore, counterflow phenomenon is generated when a discharge port is throttled, and an always constant discharge amount can be obtained.
