<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to damp the oscillation efficently by the fluid resistance, by putting a piston in which a fluid passable orifice is formed, in a cylinder which is filled with the fluid, and streaming the fluid through the orifice utilizing the relative motion between the cylinder and the piston. CONSTITUTION:A massive piston 22 is housed in a cylinder 21 which is filled with oil, and an orifice 23, through which the oil on both sides of the piston 22 can stream from one side to the other side by turns, is formed in the piston 22. Then, the cylinder 21 is fixded on the tie rod 2 of a stearing wheel 1, and coiled springs 24 whose spring constant is low, are set on both ends of the inside of the cylinder 21. In this way, when the tie rod 2 slightly oscillates in its shaft's direction due to a shock received from the road surface, the cylinder 21 also slightly oscillates in the same direction. However, the piston 22 can not oscillate following the oscillation of the cylinder 21, as the piston 22 is massive, and the cylinder 21 and the piston 22 move relatively with each other. Consequently, the oil streams through the orifice 23 by turns, and the slight oscillating of the cylinder 21 is damped.</p> |
