PURPOSE:To manage and operate discontinuous memory areas like continuous memory areas by providing buffer areas in memory areas and storing address information and count information besides code information of display, print, or the like. CONSTITUTION:Count information 4 indicating the data length of one-line components of code information, plural one-line components of code information 3, and address information 5 of the start address of a memory area 1 are stored in order in the memory area 1, and these data groups are defined as one block. Only at the initial time of power on, the first block 6 is written with an indicated address. With respect to the second block 8 and following blocks, the data length of data groups is detected by count information and is written in address information of the first block 6, and the block is stored in a position of the area 1 selected by this address. When the first-the n-th blocks 6-9 are stored in this manner, the second block is accessed by the first block address 5 and the third block is accessed by the second block address 5 to make sequential access possible. |
