In a chain belt for scraper chain conveyors with single or double central chains, especially for use in underground working, in which two-part carriers fix horizontal chain links between their upper and lower parts, by means of channels which partially enclose the sides of the chain links and by means of a screw fitting which is oriented perpendicular to the said channels, and, with the assistance of the brackets of their lower parts and recesses in projections from the upper parts, via strip-like central pieces of the lower parts, guide the curves of vertical chain links, which respectively adjoin the horizontal chain links, provision has been made according to the invention for the projections to project beyond the extensions of the curves of the gripped horizontal chain links and to support on their undersides a downwards projecting cam for each curve extension, which cam is arranged on the outside next to the chain link curve and has a bent supporting surface which follows the curve extension.
