PURPOSE:To obtain a wide-density dynamic range and a high contrast by repeating plural times and executing a process for reproducing a variable density by the size of a dot or the density of the dot, to the same recording material by the same kind of toner. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 120 in a feed paper cassette 119 is fed out by a feed paper roller 118, and held at a position of a movable guide plate 130. Resist rollers 114, 115 start to rotate by being delayed synchronously with the time when a modulating device 151 outputs a picture signal, and feed the recording paper 120 into a photosensitive drum 101. The recording paper 120 is brought to toner transfer by a transfer band device 104, and fixed by fixing rollers 111, 112. Subsequently, it is fed out in the direction of a guide 104, and inserted into the rollers 114, 115 again. The modulator 151 outputs the same picture signal as the first time or a picture signal which has changed the center of the dot. In this way, the toner transfer and fixation are repeated by a prescribed number of times and the recording paper is fed out to a recording paper tray 126. In this way, a picture having a wide density dynamic range and a high contrast can be formed. |
