A circuit arrangement for the simultaneous operation, without any fault current, for clockwise and anticlockwise running of a plurality of capacitor motors which are connected in parallel to the single-phase AC mains. In the case of the clockwise and anticlockwise running control of capacitor motors having triacs connected in the current path, the AC supply of the capacitor motors and the DC voltage control of the triacs is isolated in DC terms.
