The invention relates to a photoelectric pulse generator for generating pulses for extremely low-power measuring devices, control units or counters. In this arrangement, a photoelectric pulse generator is to be created which, applicable in illuminated surroundings, can be operated with extremely low power consumption without power supply for an optical transmitter. This is done by using a fluorescently dyed transparent plastic, glass or a liquid as light collector in the visible or invisible spectrum and transmitter for currentlessly driving a photoelectric receiver (detector). <IMAGE>
