<p>PURPOSE:To prevent decrease in capacity at low temperature and shorten charging time by fully filling the mixed solution of dilute sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide solution in a container and allowing it to stand several hours, then charging it to a specified value, and removing the mixed solution from the container after completion of charging. CONSTITUTION:The A solution is prepared by mixing a specified amont of concentrated sulfuric acid to pure water. The B solution is prepared in such a way that sodium hydroxide is added to pure water, which is heated to a specified temperature, so that the concentration of sodium hydroxide becomes 10-20wt%, and they are heated to 75-95 deg.C, the naturally cooled to room temperature. The A solution and B solution are mixed in a specified ratio and the mixed solution is fully filled in a container instead of electrolyte. After allowing it to stand several hours, a battery is charged to a specified value. After completion of charging, the mixed solution is completely removed from the container. By this process, a storage battery which has not effect against change of atmospheric temperature, long life, and short charging time can be obtained.</p> |
