PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the tracking accuracy at reproduction and to obtain a reproduction signal of satisfactory information by setting the position relation between adjacent servo tracks strictly when a pilot signal used for executing a tracking control is recorded on a servo track. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic head 14 records data on a data track T1, a changeover switch control circuit 23 switches changeover switches 35, 42 and 44 to sides T, D and W, respectively. The magnetic head 14 positions a track to the data track T1 by a track positioning circuit 33, after which a rotary signal from a rotary sensor 20 enters a timing generator circuit 45. A data signal from an input terminal 46 enters a synchronizing circuit 47, which transmits the data signal to a modulator 48 in synchronizing with the timing signal of the timing generator circuit 45. Here, the data signal is modulated, and amplified by an amplifier 43. The magnetic head 14 records data information in a section, where a pilot signal is not erased previously, on the data track T1 of a disk 2. |
