SILVER HALIDE PHOTOSENSITIVE MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity by incorporating a monodisperse emulsion having a core of silver iodobromide which is manufactured from multiple twins or the spherical particles obtd. from the multiple twins as a seed and has a high AgI content and a shell consisting of silver iodobromide having a low AgI content or pure AgBr into a titled material. CONSTITUTION:The silver iodobromide core having the high AgI content is first formed by using a seed emulsion contg. the multiple twins obtd. under the condition of -0.7-2.0 pBr or the spherical particles obtd. from the multiple twins as a seed crystal at >=30wt% with respect to the total seed particles. The shell of the silver iodobromide of the low AgI content or pure AgBr is then grown. The excellent emulsion of the core/shell type which consists essentially of the twin particles contg. 4-40mol% AgI and has good monodispersibility, high sensitivity and good granular characteristic is thus obtd.
