<p>PURPOSE:To perform the uniform thinning at a high speed with simple constitution by preparing two kinds of thinning patterns and by thinning pictures while thinning pattern along with an optimum approximate curve from an original picture is sequentially selected with the aid of the thinning pattern. CONSTITUTION:A control part 1 stores numbers of total application times of two kinds of thinning patterns (u) and (v) in counters I2 and I3, respectively. A digital differential analyzer DDA6 decides the application order of the thinning pattern in accordance with each number of application remaining times of thinning patterns stored in counters 2 and 3. A thinning circuit 7 arbitrarily sets the thinning pattern for storing thinning patterns signaled from the DDA6 in a thinning pattern I memory part 4 and a thinning pattern II memory part 5, and therefore a high speed and uniform thinning can be performed with simple constitution.</p> |
