PURPOSE:To improve safety by releasing the abrupt braking functioning when the brake pedal is not stepped. CONSTITUTION:A brake oil chamber 11 is formed on the rear face of primary piston 5 of master cylinder 2. Said chamber 11 is communicated through a path 13 with an oil pressure producing chamber 15 for multiplying the force formed in electromagnetic means 14. Controller 16 for said means 14 will received signals from pedal stepping force sensor 21 and brake pressure sensors 22, 23 to control the output to a solenoid 17. Consequently, the pedal stepping force and the brake oil pressure will vary while maintaining predetermined power multiplying relation. While a circuit 24 for blocking power supply to the solenoid 17 upon function of said means 14 when the brake pedal 1 is not stepped is provided. |
