<p>PURPOSE:To prevent shocks upon gear shift operation, by providing a control means for delivering a control signal to an engaging force regulating device to increase the engaging force of a clutch device at an initial stage during gear shift operation of a gear shift unit. CONSTITUTION:Upon gear shift operation to a second shift stage instructions for changeing over solenoid valves 310, 320 are issued, and then a solenoid valve 325 controls the supply of hydraulic pressure to a kick-down brake 14. Simultaneously a control signal having a small duty ratio is fed to a solenoid valve 300 constituting an engaging force regulating device 350 for a clutch 9 so that the latter is set in a standby condition just before engagement. When the detected voltage of a kickdown servo-piston position sensor 300 exceeds a predetermined voltage upon engagement of a brake band, a control signal having a large duty ratio is fed to the solenoid valve 300 to raise the hydraulic pressure fed to the clutch 9 which is therefore set to be in an incomplete engaging condition.</p> |
