PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of a transaction by indicating to a customer a fact that a transaction is impossible, by a terminal equipment, in case an IC card storing no prescribed program is used. CONSTITUTION:In a terminal equipment side, a main control device 8 discriminates whether a store program is received or not. Unless the store program is received, accordingly, unless a program of a transaction processing procedure is stored in a ROM of an IC card, the main control part 8 displays a message of a fact that ''the transaction cannot be executed by this card'' on a CRT10, informs to a customer that the transaction is impossible, and also returns the IC card to the customer. In this way, the customer can execute the transaction once again without being puzzled. |
