PURPOSE:To enable to simplify the construction of a ribbon-feeding mechanism, by a construction wherein a rotation-converting mechanism capable of effecting rotation in the same direction as that of the rotation of a rotary shaft in response to forward movement of a carriage is provided between an internal gear and the rotary shaft in the condition of being incorporated in a pulley. CONSTITUTION:The pulley 8 is fitted to the rotary shaft 9 through a one-way clutch 20, and is provided with the internal gear 21. At a position for engaging with the internal gear 21, the rotation-converting mechanism 26 consisting of an idle gear 23 supported on a support shaft 22 and a center gear 25 fitted to the rotary shaft 9 through a one-way clutch 24 is provided in the internal gear 21 of the pulley 8. When the carriage 2 is moved forward in the direction of an arrow A, the pulley 8 engaged with a stretched wire 6 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (a) with the movement of the carriage 2 as a drive source. Accordingly, a ribbon-feeding roller shaft 13 is rotated in the direction of an arrow C, thereby feeding an ink ribbon 5a in the direction of an arrow (d). |
