PURPOSE:The titled composition having extremely improved heat resistance, obtained by blending an elastic polyester which treated with a specific epoxy compound to improve resistance to hydrolysis with a specific thermal decomposition stabilizer containing nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising (A) an elastic polyester obtained from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (ester-forming derivative, derivative for short) consisting essentially of terephthalic acid, a low-molecular-weight diol (derivative), 0-40wt% based on total polymer amount of polyalkylene glycol having 600- 4,000mol.wt. and 3-40wt% based on total polymer amount of >=8C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (derivative), (B) a monoepoxy compound and/or diepoxy compound in an amount to give epoxy equivalent of 0.5-5 times the terminal carboxyl equivalent of the component A, and (C) 0.1-3wt% based on the component A of nitrogen-containing thermal decomposition stabilizer (preferably N,N'- di-beta-naphthyl-p-phenylenediamine, etc.). When the components A and B are treated with the epoxy compound, preferably they are simultaneously melted and blended with the component C. |
