PURPOSE:To display one or more original sizes which can be copied, and to make a copying machine have a flexibility, by a simple constitution, by calculating the original size which can be copied, based on a detected size of a copying paper and a set copying magnification. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with a cassette of each copying paper size, lead switched 11, 12 of 2 bit are turned on and off, and a paper size signal by this on and off is applied as casstte size detecting information to a CPU13. Also, in accordance with an operation of an unmagnification key 8 and a reduction key 9, copying magnification information is given to the CPU13. The CPU13 calculates a suitable original size based on each input information. In this way, when one or more original sizes are calculated, original size display use LEDs 4-7 corresponding to copying paper size display use LEDs 1-3 are lighted.
