<p>The device comprises means for forming a spray of droplets of the liquid, means for delivering liquid to said spray forming means at a predetermined rate, and a masking arrangement positionable to interrupt said spray, said masking arrangement being adjustable to interrupt a greater or lesser part of said spray; and the device is characterised in that said masking arrangement comprises two members (49, 49<1>) relatively movable away from and towards one another to interrupt a greater or lesser part of the spray respectively and means (51, 51<1>, 55, 57, 59, 61, 63, 65) for so relatively moving said members (49, 49<1>) such that they are moved together and by the same amount so that a relative movement of said members (49, 49<1>) changes the width but not the direction of said spray.</p> |
