PURPOSE:To obtain a gas separating membrane which has the improved selectivity for gas permeation and maintains the satisfactory gas permeability by using a heat-treated body consisting of 1-monoalkyl dimethylsilyl propyne polymer. CONSTITUTION:>=50wt% the 1-monoalkyl dimethylsilyl propyne polymer (the formula, R is alkyl of 1-12C) in the form of white fibers or powder having >=10,000 average mol.wt. is used as the component for the separating membrane. The heat treatment is executed at 100-250 deg.C and may be either the dry heat treatment in gas or wet heat treatment in a medium. The treating time is >=1min and within several hours but varied largely with temp., and a wet or dry heat method. |
