METHOD OF INDICATING WEAR OF TIRE

PURPOSE:To prevent car slip-accidents by providing a colored part indicating the degree of wear of a tire at the lower and inner part of the grooves in a tire tread and putting the car driver under an obligation to replace the worn tire when the colored indication part is exposed. CONSTITUTION:A colored part 4 for wear indication is provided at a position suitably deep from the tread surface and in opposition to grooves 3 provided at the outer peripheral surface of the tread 2 of a tire 1. The colored part 4 exposes itself to the outside as the tread 2 wears. By directly observing exposure of the colored part 4, the car driver can judge when the tire should be exchanged. Thus, by obliging the car driver to exchange the worn tire with a new one, car slip-accidents can be prevented.
