PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and sharpness by using an aromatic primary amine developing agent, and incorporating a compd. for releasing a fogging agent, a development promoter, or the precursors of them in accordance with an amt. of silver to be developed, and a polymer coupler latex. CONSTITUTION:When silver halide in a silver halide emulsion layer formed on a support is developed with an aromatic primary amine developing agent, an FR compd. for releasing a fogging agent, a development promoter, or their precursors, and a polymer coupler latex are incorporated in accordance with an amt. of silver to be developed. The FR compds. includes a coupler capable of coupling the oxidation product of the aromatic primary amine developing agent and releasing the FR compd., a coupler capable of coupling with said product and releasing a colored or colorless dye, and acting on said FR compds., a redox compd. capable of causing oxidation reduction reaction with said product and releasing the FR compds. resulting from decomposition reaction following the oxidation reaction, etc. |
