PURPOSE:To improve rectifying characteristics, to suppress an optical signal current, and to increase the S/N of a photoelectric converter, by applying a forward bias voltage to blocking diodes. CONSTITUTION:A drive circuit 4 successively closes switches 3 and makes an optical signal current to flow to sensitized photodiodes 1. Since a forward bias voltage 5 is applied to blocking diodes 2 in this circuit, the rectifying characteristic is improved, the attenuation of the optical signal current by the blocking diodes 2 becomes almost negligible, the output of the photodiodes 1 is increased, and the S/N of the optical signal reading becomes larger.
