PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the torque detector by providing two flanges at enough distance to detect rotary phase difference sufficiently, and providing gears to end parts of both flanges. CONSTITUTION:Two flanges 36 and 37 are provided and gears 34 and 35 are provided to their end parts, so torsion generated between fitting positions of the flanges 36 and 37 of a rotating shaft 33 appears as the rotary phase difference between the gears 34 and 35. Two magneto-resistance elements MRE10 and MRE11 are provided to a torque sensor 30 in opposition to the gears 34 and 35. For the purpose, output voltages at intermediate terminals of MREs 10 and 11 are compared to calculate the rotary phase difference between the gears 34 and 35. Thus, the two flanges 36 and 37 are provided at enough distance to detect the rotary phase difference sufficiently and gears 39a and 39b are provided to the end parts of the flanges 36 and 37 to reduce the size of the torque detector. |
