PURPOSE:To form a color picture having sufficient color-forming property and good fastness on a picture receiver by using the picture receiver containing an aldehyde compound or a nitroso compound and a transferring material containing a compound with active methyl or methylene. CONSTITUTION:An aldehyde compound (e.g., benzaldehyde, etc.) and/or a nitroso compound (e.g., nitrosoaniline, etc.), together with a synthetic resin (e.g., polyester resin) and an organic base (e.g., preferably amines, etc.), are dissolved or dispersed in an adequate organic solvent. The solution or dispersion is coated on a paper and dried to obtain a picture receiver. On the other hand, a compound with active methyl or methylene group (e.g., molononitrile, cyanoacetate, etc.), together with a binder, is dissolved or dispersed in an adequate organic solvent, coated on a supporter, and dried to obtain a transferring material. The transferring material is selectively heated in the face of said picture receiver to form a picture on the picture receiver. |
