PURPOSE:To attain a stable high picture quality and prevent degradation of a developer for a long period by equalizing the polarity of an untransferred toner, which is recovered in a developing vessel, to that of a supply toner when this untransferred toner is recovered. CONSTITUTION:A toner recovering device consists of a cleaning part 8, a recovering part 10 provided with a cyclone filter 9, and a triboelectrifying means 11 provided on the inside wall face of the cyclone filter 9. The cleaning part 8 removes an untransferred toner 13, which remains on the surface of a photosensitive body 12 after transfer, from the photosensitive body 12. In the cyclone filter 9, an air current flowed from an upper air inlet 18 becomes a vortical swivelling current and is discharged forcibly from a discharge hole 20 in the center part. The triboelectrifying means 11 subjects the untransferred toner 13 to electrostatic charge processing in accordance with passage of the untransferred toner 13 through the cyclone filter 9 and equalizes the polarity of this toner 13 to that of a supply toner 28, which is supplied from a toner box 27 and is triboelectrified to a prescribed polarity by a carrier, to prepare for the reuse. |
