PURPOSE:To joint securely composition parts and to improve a yield and reliability by fusing and packaging a nonmagnetic material in a space between a groove processing part, a recording and reproducing head core and an erasing head core. CONSTITUTION:The 1st core 8 is adhered to the 2nd core 7 having a coil winding groove with a jointing glass 17 to form a recording and reproducing gap 11. On the adhered surface of both cores a thin film is formed as a gap spacer with SiO2, etc. In the same manner, the 3rd and fourth cores 13 and 12 are processed, and the erasing head core having the prescribed width l2 and the prescribed interval l3 and the recording and reproducing head core are set by holding a nonmagnetic spacer 18. Then a nonmagnetic spacer 4 is carried on the core to be heated and fused, and packaged in the space between the groove processing part, the recording and reproducing head core and the erasing head core. After its surface is polished, it is cut along a chain line (a)-(a') then cut along a chain line (b)-(b') to obtain a head chip 1. A nonmagnetic material fusing and packaging step and an adhering step are simultaneously carried out, thereby obtaining a secure adhesive structure. |
