ZSM-12 containing both aluminum and boron in is anionic framework and having the composition, on an anhydrous basis and in terms of moles of oxides: (1.0 +/- 0.3) (a+b) R2/nO:aB2O3:bAl2O3:SiO2 wherein R is at least one cation having the valence n, and a and b satisfy the relationships: 0.0004 <= (a+b) <= 0.04 a > 0, and b < 0.0004. The zeolite is synthesised from a boron-containing reaction mixture and finds application as a sorbent or as a catalyst in various organic, notably hydrocarbon, convesions. |
