PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality printing by eliminating discharge between a gutter and a deflecting electrode by improving the deflecting electrode and also by varying control system. CONSTITUTION:Ink 9 discharged from a nozzle 1 is positively charged in passing through charging electrodes 3, and the ink particles are attracted by control of a negative voltage plate 10 in passing through a deflecting electrode 4 to form a necessary letter dot pattern. In case where no letter dot patterns are formed, the ink particles collide with the gutter 5 and recovered by the ink bottle, where the reflected ink, however, is considered to adhered to the grounded plate 11. No discharge with the gutter due to the grounded plate. The lowering of the quality of printing can thus be avoided and high-quality printing can be obtained. |
