PURPOSE:To shorten the recovery time for the occurrence of troubles by constituting a network, where a packet processing device and a time division line switching device are provided together, so that diagnostic results of individual devices are transmitted to the center through devices of each other. CONSTITUTION:In a hybrid local area network where plural remote node stations each of which is provided with a packet processinf device 31 and a time division line switching device 32 together are connected to a central station (CST) by a loop transmission line of optical fibers, a diagnostic command of the device 31 from the CST is subjected to photoelectric conversion by a transducer 30 and is inputted to a microprocessor (muPC)320 of the device 32. The muPC320 starts a muPC310 of the device 31 through adapters 34 and 33. The diagnostic result of the muPC310 is transmitted back to the muPC320 through adapters 33 and 34 and is transferred to the CST. Similarly, the diagnostic command of the device 32 is inputted to the muPC310 and passes adapters 33 and 34 to start the muPC320, and the diagnostic result is transmitted to the CST through the muPC310. |
