<p>PURPOSE:To selectively lap a chuck or a loose head stock by installing a tapered lapping rod, straight lapping rod, and a lapping-agent feeding part onto a lapping rod for correcting the concentric degree and the degree of roundness between the tapered hole of the loose head stock of a lathe and the nipping surfaces of a plurality of chucks. CONSTITUTION:As for a correcting lapping rod 1, a tapered lapping rod 4 which coincides with a tapered hole formed onto the loose head stock on a lathe to be lapping- treated is formed, and a straight lapping rod 6 having the diameter for permitting the nipping between the chuck of the lathe to be lapping-treated is extended concentrically at the rear edge of the tapered lapping rod 4, and lapping agent can be supplied selectively eigther of the peripheral surface of the lapping rod 4 or 6. The tapered lapping rod 4 is fixed into the tapered hole on the loose head stock of the lathe, and the straight lapping rod 6 is nipped by a weak force onto the chuck, and the nipping surface of the chuck is lapped, supplying lapping agent onto the peripheral surface of the lapping rod 6. Further, the lapping rod 6 is nipped and fixed, and the chuck is revolved, feeding the lapping agent onto the circumferential surface of the lapping rod 4, and the tapered hole on the loose head stock is lapped.</p> |
