PURPOSE:To level the distortion easily with a simple structure by arranging a large-sized fixed deflecter roll than a work roll on the upper flow side or rear flow side of a work roll. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 is passed through in the direction of an arrow B in waves shape among work rolls 2, 3, 4, 5 with a tension given in the direction of an arrow A, A'. Also on the upper flow side of the work roll 5 of the final step a large-sized deflecter roll C is solidly arranged and only the work roll 5 of the final step is made movable. The strip 1 is bent in an alternate direction while passing through among the work rolls 2, 3, 4, 5 and the distortions of longitudinal and lateral directions are corrected and the distortion remaining in the longitudinal direction finally is easily removed by the movement operation of the final step's work roll 5. |
