PURPOSE:To sort sheets for storage in different positions by providing a tray member temporarily holding the sheets and shifting the tray member so as to store the sheets in a stacker in different attitudes while passing the tray member in a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet from an image generator 1 is detected by a sensor S1, a route switching piece 10 is set to a tray member 8 side, and the sheet P is sent to a tray member 8 through a pair of rollers 6, 7. When the tip of the sheet P completely penetrates, a solenoid is turned on, the tray member 8 is shifted from the first position to the second position along a groove 14, under this condition the route switching piece 10 is brought into contact with a roller 9, and the sheet is stored on a stacker 4 via a pair of rollers 7, 9, a paper discharge passage 3a, and a pair of paper discharge rollers 11. Accordingly, the displacement of sheets at a right angle of feeding occurs for the first and second positions of the tray member 8, and the sheets are stored in the stacker as they are, thus the paper storage attitudes can be selectively switched. |
