PURPOSE:To stably decompose and remove ozone over a long period of time, in an ozone decomposition filter, by using a metal alloy consisting of a component relatively difficult to be deteriorated by ozone and a component relatively easy to be deteriorated by ozone. CONSTITUTION:Copper, nickel, tin or stanless steel being components relatively difficult to be deteriorated by ozone and aluminum, zinc, lead or magnesium being components relatively easy to be deteriorated by ozone are used in a mixed state. A metal alloy is molded into a fibrous or reticulated form in order to winden the contact area with ozone to form a filter. The components easy to be deteriorated by ozone are deteriorated at first and lost but the remaining components difficult to be deteriorated by ozone take a complicated surface configuration and, therefore, effectively function as an ozone decomposition catalyst. |
